A few hours at the south of Lima, the desert and the sea put together on a beautiful way in Paracas, at the department of Ica. There you will find the Paracas National Park, home of sea dogs, Humboldt penguins, flamingos or parihuanas and other birds. NAZCA LINES

Nazca lines were declared World Heritage by the UNESCO. Nazca inhabitants (200 b.C. - 900 a.c.) sculpted a series of figures in the soil of the desert and known today as Nazca Lines, whereas sepulchres belonging to Paracas culture (800 b.C. - 600 a.C.) show splendid fabrics of magic and religious vision which managed the life of this ancient civilization.

BALLESTAS ISLANDS

Nature, sea biodiversity and landscape beauty lovers will find there the only Sea Reserve of Peru engage to protect and preserve sea ecosystems and cultural and historic Paracas pre-Inca culture (800 a.C. 600 d.C.). There, Cerro Colorado Archeological Site stands out. In this place you will find migratory birds. This is important to take care and respect this natural habitat and follow all the indications and norms from the National System of Protected Natural Areas.
